NVIDIA and European Nations have announced a collaboration to build NVIDIA Blackwell, an AI infrastructure designed to position Europe as a competitive leader in the AI Industrial Revolution.

With a goal of developing the European AI workforce, NVIDIA is establishing and expanding technology centers throughout Germany, Sweden, Italy, Spain, UK and Finland. NVIDIA is a longtime collaborator with academic institutions through their NVIDIA AI Technology Center program.

Several European nations including France, Italy and Spain are working to build domestic AI infrastructure of technology and cloud providers such as Domyn, Mistral AI, Nebius and Nscale.

“Just as coal and electricity once defined our past, AI is defining our future,” said U.K. Tech Secretary Peter Kyle. “NVIDIA’s expansion of its technology center here in the U.K. will be vital in helping us to deliver on our AI ambitions, and their partnership in building the capabilities that will transform our AI Growth Zones into engines of opportunity. This is our Plan for Change in action, bringing together leading innovators to build the compute infrastructure that will drive growth across every region and secure the U.K.’s place as a global AI leader in the age of AI.”

NVIDIA is working with leaders of France, UK, Germany and Italy to invest in advanced systems to lay the groundwork for their new AI infrastructure. Crucial investments in land and facilities, access to sustainable energy and skilled experts. In France, Mistral AI and NVIDIA are working to build an end-to-end cloud platform of 18,000 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell Systems in the first phase. In the UK, NVIDIA Cloud Partners Nebius and Nscale are collaborating to unlock advanced AI capabilities for small to large scale businesses. In Germany, NVIDIA and partners are working to build the first ever industry AI cloud for European manufacturers.
